As Jamye and I sat at a cozy cafe in Sedona, Arizona, an incident that could only have been inspired by a force larger than us both, added the punctuation to the conversation that began sharing stories of our esoteric experiences in Egypt. Out of the blue, a decapitated beetle landed on our brunch table. The timing was beyond explanation and appropriately profound. Instantly, we both understood the deep connection to the symbolism of the sacred Egyptian scarab.
As we bid farewell to the quaint cafe, a sense of certainty enveloped us. We were destined for Egypt, though the details of our adventure remained a mystery. Promising to reconvene soon, we parted ways, returning to our separate lives until the time came to plan our expedition.
I was intuitively aware that September would mark our journey. I wasn’t fixated on the date, but the whisper from within kept insisting. I wondered how we would be guided into the highest creation for this journey. Who might also join us? Would it be just Jamye, her partner Todd, and me, or were there others destined to be there with us? Yet, I resisted the urge to assemble a large group for the sake of numbers. Our gathering needed purpose, intentionality. I sensed the gravity of what lay ahead, the sacredness of our collective mission. Reverence was essential as we prepared for the work awaiting us in that distant land.
I was ignited with profound sense of purpose. I was intentional in prayers and meditations in the days leading up to my next meeting with Jamye. If you are a citizen of the USA, the European Union, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Norway, Russia, and a handful of other countries, you can obtain a Visa on Arrival at the airport.
We recently received an update that Canadian citizens have to apply for a Visa with the consulate before arrival.
In the Cairo International Airport, just before passport control, there is a bank window where you will purchase your visa. It costs $25 USD and you will pay cash.
Take the visa and your passport to passport control. The officer will add this visa to your passport and stamp your passport. It’s a very easy process.
For transportation between the Airport and the Hotel, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to the hotel to join our group.

Dress Protocols for Women:
When strolling around town, it’s a good idea for women to cover their legs, upper arms, and shoulders.
Pants are perfectly fine for women to wear.
Shorts are also acceptable at tourist sites, but keep in mind the strong sun and occasional mosquitoes.
While it’s not required in Egypt, carrying a suitable scarf can come in handy.
